Every morning everyone on the DirectAccessDigital.com team walks in and smiles as she and her high-end, trademark silver coat walks by confidently.
We all wish to have her life. She works hard and plays even harder.
Plus, on occasion she even gets rid of garbage. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, loves her.
She can be very competitive and has won numerous awards. She has serious skills.
Our only complaint is that she sometimes naps on the job.
Definitely the office pet.
Today is National Dog Day and today we honour you, Miss Tori McNeil! Thanks for being part of the team and making us smile.
The distinguished, Ch, Fd, Echobar’s Queen of Hearts Victoria, known affectionately as “Tori”, is 9 1/2 year old Weimaraner and is DAD Co-Founder, Don McNeil’s, best employee and family member. She has her own desk at our Burlington, Ontario office, complete with brand coloured dog bed and contrasting collar.
ScienceDaily.com reports dogs de-stress a workplace and Direct Access Digital has the calmest workmate ever.
“Although preliminary, this study provides the first quantitative study of the effects of employees’ pet dogs in the workplace setting on employee stress, job satisfaction, support and commitment,” said principal investigator Randolph T. Barker, Ph.D., professor of management in the VCU School of Business.
“Dogs in the workplace can make a positive difference,” he said. “The differences in perceived stress between days the dog was present and absent were significant. The employees as a whole had higher job satisfaction than industry norms.”
